Ciara loves the individual effects that different painting techniques allow;
when using acrylics, the paint is layered in a very tactile form - giving artwork a strong textural aesthetic, whereas watercolour paint involves building depth via a mixture of subtle watery washes alongside deep, unsaturated strokes - any white areas that you see are generally the white of the paper left untouched.
Acrylic medium is meticulously arranged using a palette knife; you can create textural emphasis on certain areas due to it's thick, sculptural consistency.
Ciara enjoys working in both monochrome & colour.
